She entered the protection system in her home country due to specific abuse and a family history filled with significant vulnerability, including loss of her brother and lack of a supportive extended family. Yamira has adapted well to her foster family, forming positive bonds and participating actively in daily routines. She is in 3rd grade, with good academic performance and positive relationships at school. Yamira is clinically healthy, but with a history of trauma that will require continued counseling/therapy. She receives ongoing support for cognitive and emotional development, showing progress in therapy and school.
Yamira is affectionate, responsible, and respectful of rules and authority. She enjoys artistic activities (drawing, singing, dancing), swimming, and spending time with family. She prefers families with children, especially an older brother, reflecting her emotional history.
Yamira is a resilient, affectionate, and adaptable girl who would benefit from a stable, loving adoptive family committed to her well-being and development.
