A CHILD for the Marshall family — CO

Craig and Stacy have been happily married for almost 10 years, reside in the beautiful mountains of Colorado, and have one handsome son, Theodore, who recently celebrated his 1st birthday! Craig and Stacy are both the youngest of three and loved having siblings growing up, so they have known for some time that they wanted to grow their family through adoption once again. They were just waiting for the right fit! Stacy is part of several adoption groups, and one evening was shown Axel’s picture, and she was immediately captivated by his kind, smiling eyes. She and Craig discussed it over several days, and decided to move forward in their pursuit to adopt. They have been on a fast track in their efforts to bring him home since then! He is currently in an orphanage in Eastern Europe, and unfortunately has one strike against him… he has been diagnosed with Stage 1 neuroblastoma, which is a cancer that develops from immature nerve cells found in various parts of the body and is typically diagnosed in children five years and younger. Axel is 3 years old! Craig and Stacy are confident with the help and support of family, friends, and of course knowledgeable doctors, they will be able to share a long, wonderful life with Axel. They are nearing the end of their adoption journey, and hope to travel to Eastern Europe later this summer or early fall to bring their precious son home.

They are so thankful for all of the support they have received throughout this journey!!!
