A CHILD for the Allen Family — TN
Andy and Jennifer have been married since 2014 and have built a relationship based on love, faith and service to others. Over the course of their marriage, they have fostered 17 children and have been supports for countless others. They were drawn to international adoption in 2020 by a close family friend who was also an adoptive mother to 5 boys with Down Syndrome. They began the work to bring home two boys from Ukraine but sadly when the war broke out that adoption stopped. In October 2022 they welcomed a 4 month old baby boy to their family who had significate medical needs. Jameson was a precious little boy who was born with severe Spina Bifida. Due to this diagnosis, he suffered many medical issues that ultimately took his life at the age of 10 months in March 2023. This path was one of the hardest they have ever walked down but they did it together. Over time their desire to grow their family only deepened and they felt that it was the time to pursue an adoption from Bulgaria. In November 2023 they were matched with a 4 year old little boy in Bulgaria and in November 2024 their son, Noah came home! Today Noah is 6 and he inspires his parents every day. It is through his determination and perseverance to overcome the medical challenges he faces that only confirms their desire to add to their family. They know that every day a child spends waiting is a day the go without the adequate health care they so desperately need. Andy and Jennifer later discovered that one of the little boys they had hoped to adopt from Ukraine had passed away in early 2023 due to a lack of adequate health care. They feel deeply that no child should ever live or die without the love of a family.
Andy and Jennifer are stepping out on faith again to bring another child into their lives. They have been matched with a precious little boy from Eastern Europe who has similar diagnosis as their adopted son. Andy, Jennifer and Noah are excited to welcome this child into their family!
