Celebrating 21 years of marriage and nurturing 8 biological children, Jesse and Megan are excited to add another gift from God through adoption into their family. Megan was two years old when her brother with Down Syndrome died at age 5 in heart surgery. Even as a two year old, his death had a significant impact on her life. The soul-mate that she baby-talked with, took her first steps with, and raced to beat to the Wonder Rocking Horse had disappeared. Her sense of loss has given her a love and bond to children with Down Syndrome. Megan was introduced to Reece’s Rainbow by a friend over 10 years ago. Following and praying for families in their journey of adoption and praying for babies to find their adoptive parents through Reeces Rainbow, Jesse and Megan are taking that leap of faith that now is the time to fulfill the dream of being one of those families. After living as missionaries for 10 years over seas, in 2012, Jesse and Megan settled back home in Washington State onto their fifth generation family farm. The Pearsons also have a 12 years old niece and a 5 year old nephew that were both born with Down Syndrome living close by. This provides an instant support group and two like-minded cousins for their adopted child to grow up with.
