Anne for the Hamilton family — TX
Andy and Lindsey Hamilton have built their lives around loving children deeply and creating a home where every child is treasured. Married since 2005, they have been blessed with four wonderful biological children. For many years they believed their family was complete, until their hearts were opened to the needs of children around the world longing for love, belonging, and a forever family.
Their adoption journey began in 2015 with the adoption of a teenager from the Philippines. They first met their daughter through a hosting program and worked tirelessly to bring her home. After a year of separation, the joy of finally being reunited made it clear that adoption had forever changed their family.
Soon after, they saw the photo of a precious little boy with albinism in China. Instantly, they knew he belonged with them. After a fast and faith-filled nine-month process, they welcomed him home by the end of 2018.
At the close of 2019, they were introduced to the picture of a one-year-old little boy facing a terminal diagnosis. Though the road ahead was uncertain, the love shining from his tiny face overcame every fear. The following year and a half brought both unimaginable beauty and profound sorrow. The days they shared with their son became some of the most meaningful of their lives. He passed away in April 2021, but his life left an everlasting mark on their hearts. Loving him was one of their greatest privileges, and they would choose him again a million times over.
After taking time to grieve and rebuild, Andy and Lindsey once again followed the calling to grow their family through adoption. In May 2023, they completed the adoption of a sibling set of three teenagers from Colombia. Over the last three years, they have poured their hearts into helping their home full of teenagers heal, grow, and step confidently into their futures.
And now, the Hamiltons are saying yes once again. With open hearts and eager hope, they are moving full speed ahead to welcome a sweet little one with spina bifida from Bulgaria into the love and embrace of their forever family.
