James is looking for an amazing family to help him grow and develop. In 2007, he was diagnosed with Asperger’s, ADHD, and developmental disability but is considered high functioning. He lived with his birth parents for the first two years of his life, but due to abuse and maltreatment, was placed in the care of the government. James’ foster mother describes him as sweet and considerate. He struggles with his social interactions with his peers, but does much better with adults. He has difficulty adjusting to a new environments and changes in routine, but his foster mother and teachers work very hard with him to prepare and ease transitions. James does well in school and when he is interested in something, he is able to maintain his focus for long periods of time. He has a special talent for puzzles. He is able to complete puzzles with 300 pieces alone!
