The Hills have decided to bring home PIPER, too!!

Dan and Michelle Hills once again are following the Lords calling to adopt yet another child from Eastern Europe.

 

When Dan and Michelle married with 3 children (Chris, Samantha and Anthony)  in 1997, they had no idea what God had in store for their family.

 

Michelle  has always had a desire to have a large family. She has thought about adoption as a child and grew up with a desire to work with special needs children. She always admired large families with special needs kids but never imagined that she would one day be “that woman”. Dan, a devoted husband, was unsuspecting of any of this when they married but trusted and supported Michelle’s heart and beliefs throughout their marriage.

 

In 2006 they traveled to Ukraine to adopt then 9.5 year old Yana. Since this time they have been pursuing a friend of Yana’s who is caught up in the system and are still praying her home (she will be 16 in 2012). In 2008 the Lord led them to adopt a Reeces Rainbow “other angel” Nadia Hope, then 3.5; Nadia has Cerebral Palsy. In 2009 they were led back to Ukraine to adopt then nearly 15 year old Ivan and his biological 12 yr old sister, Olya. It was a wonderful, yet unexpected surprise in 2010 when they felt the Lord calling them back to Ukraine AGAIN, this time to adopt a child with Down syndrome.  This is when found  and adopted 5 year old Marni Ahna.

 

Thinking they were done adopting and focusing their passion for orphans through orphan ministry, that familiar tug on their hearts began to grow once again. They are absolutely thrilled beyond words to be heading back overseas to adopt another sweet little girl with Down syndrome, precious “Abbie”. They are confident this is the Lord’s calling for them and are trusting that He will provide and make the way.
