CALISTA for the Tappan family — TN

Chris and Ashley were married in May 2003, and are now the parents to two hilarious, silly, sweet girls.  Elena is 4 and Maeve is 2.  Always knowing that they would have two biological kids and adopt any others, they always planned on adopting domestically through the foster system.  God had other plans!  Never say you “won’t” do anything…it is almost always a sure sign that is what God will ask of you!  Elena and Maeve are beyond excited to be big sisters to Calista, who will be named Thea.    After being introduced to Reece’s Rainbow through blogs, Ashley found herself getting to know the kiddos on the site and rejoicing when they found families.  It took a little while for God to seal it on their hearts that this was His plan for them also, but it is certain and they are so excited!

Chris works for a company that does case management for people with mental retardation, and Ashley was a school teacher before staying home when the girls were born, so they are happy to know about some resources that will be available to Thea.  The girls can’t wait to introduce her to the cat, dog, and four chickens, and are already trying to vie for rights to feed her!  Everyone is so excited to bring her home!
