ANDREW for the Grover family — UT

Jennifer and James have been married for 17 years. During their engagement they often spoke about the kind of family that they would like to have. Both desired to have a large family. Although Jennifer was pregnant nine times, they were only able to carry four babies through to delivery. They turned to the Lord to ask for help in putting together the large family that they had always dreamed of. Through the beautiful gift of adoption, they have been able to add a daughter, adopted from Kazakhstan, and a son, adopted from China, to their family. James works in software development and Jennifer is a special education teacher who left her career to be a full time mother to their six children (ages 14,12,11,10,7 & 5).
Jennifer and James traveled to China early in 2011 to complete the adoption of their new son, Jacob. Jacob is five years old and has Down Syndrome and Moyamoya disease which required immediate brain surgery upon coming home. While in China, they were given the opportunity to visit their son’s orphanage. During this visit a special little boy (listed here as “Andrew”) was introduced to Jennifer and James as “Jacob’s special friend.” They were told that Andrew “was like Jacob’s big brother” and that he had taken care of Jacob during their time together in the orphanage. Jennifer felt immense gratitude for this sweet little care giver and knelt down to hold his hand and express her thankfulness and appreciation. They had a few moments before their time together was interrupted by Jacob who grabbed Andrew’s hand and led him to the playground.
When Jennifer and James returned home they could not stop thinking about the sweet little boy who had cared for their son. They felt very strongly that Jacob and Andrew should be reunited…this time as true brothers, never to be separated. Feeling that it was the Lord’s desire for this precious boy to come to their forever family, they approached their children with idea that Andrew should join their family. The children were so excited to have another brother!
Please help us reunite Jacob and Andrew! Andrew took care of Jacob before he came home to his forever family. Now it is Andrews turn to come home to that same forever family. These sweet little “brothers” deserve to be together forever!
