The VanHalle family is not new to special needs adoption, having adopted three children with Down syndrome with the help of the Reece’s Rainbow community (along with their family and friends) in the last 4 years. They are ready this time to pursue the adoption of Alexis who has been on their hearts now for over a year.
The VanHalle family is not jumping into this adoption blindly. They realize their children at home need much care and it would take a special child to fit into the family if they were to add another. After discussing the current needs of their children with one another and after seeking help from their adoption agency to obtain updated information on Alexis to make sure she would fit into their current family dynamic, the VanHalle family took a leap of faith and are stepping into international special needs adoption once again.
The VanHalle’s know this journey well and know that it will not be easy. They are asking for your prayers for their adoption and family as they work to bring Alexis home.
