Camille is an adorable little girl, who is said to be active and smiley. Camille can walk, run, and go up and down stairs. She has a strong imitating ability and likes holding writing utensils to scribble. Camille recognizes her name and understands simple instructions. She occasionally calls “mama.” Camille can build a tower with blocks and she enjoys chasing adults and listening to musical toys. She also likes playing with other children and wants to excel.

Camille’s gross motor skills are basically normal. She can walk, run, and jump independently, but her balance ability lags other kids of her age. Her fine motor skills are generally normal. She can independently complete finger pinching, eating, washing hands, washing face, etc., but her coordination skills are relatively poor. She clearly speaks “Mama, Ayi (aunt), Chifan(eat rice), Nihao(hello), bye-bye, Zuo(sit down).” However, she doesn’t usually speak clearly. Sometimes when she says a word, she will utter “ah ah ah” in a hurry. She understands instructions, such as “throw the rubbish into the garbage can” and “set the table and chairs for lunch/dinner.”

When seeing caretakers standing and feeding other kids, Camille would bring a stool and ask the caretakers to have a seat. She is gentle in character and gets along with other kids peacefully. She has strong imitation ability, such as learning from her caretakers how to fold clothes and quilts. When watching TV, she will imitate dancing. She is extroverted and very enthusiastic towards visitors. She is not picky about food and she has a good sleep at night.

Camille has a $1,000 agency grant for her adoption with her current adoption agency.

Rae is described as gentle and quiet. She is relatively weak physically and delayed in terms of gross motor skills and speech development. She’s not yet potty-trained. She holds her bottle and drinks milk. She can sit up on her own, but she cannot run, jump, or climb up/down stairs. When playing, she occasionally reached out his hand. She cannot pick up tiny things yet. Rae doesn’t have any schooling, and isn’t particularly attached to a caregivers. She’s begun to utter one syllable sounds. Her file says she likes to play hide and seek — I bet she’s adorable playing “Peek a boo”! Please help this tiny girl find her family, where she’ll be loved and treasured for exactly who she is.

Precious Rae has the most expressive faces! Rae was born with Down syndrome and a congenital heart defect- ASD. She was reported to have developmental delays commonly seen with children with Down syndrome, but she has been diligently working to meet milestones. Rae’s caregivers say that she is calm and easy-going. At the time her file was prepared, she loved when her caregivers would give her a massage and when they would hold her and talk to her. When the nanny would tell her stories, she would quietly listen and when the nanny would call on her, she would look at the nanny. Little Rae desperately needs an update and we’re hoping one will come for her soon!

There is a $1,000 agency grant for Rae’s adoption with her current adoption agency.

Ruthie is lively, lovely and restless who loves laughing and crawling everywhere. She can grasp the toy trolley and push it forward and also turn to look at nanny from time to time, because she wants to know if she is being watched; if the nanny is looking at her, she will raise her hands very happily and make a bye gesture or push the toy trolley more quickly; sometimes, she would fall down, but as soon as the nanny hugs her and comforts her, she would laugh immediately. She likes listening to music, and she can imitate the actions of clapping hands, shaking head and also will laugh whenever hearing the familiar children’s song. She cannot sit down for a long time, and she likes climbing onto the table top. Every time, when the nanny puts her onto the chair, she would climb onto the table top while the nanny is not looking at her and giggles to express that she has climbed onto and show her great ability.

Darling Selma loves playing in the water, and she kicks her legs to splash in it every day. Her caregivers say she has bright eyes and a pure heart, and they all adore her. When being cuddled she will touch your face while looking at you sweetly! She loves eating, and will shout happily when she sees a bottle coming, but if you ask her to sleep she’ll roll on her side and grumble. Selma has Down syndrome, and no other known health needs. When she was first admitted into the orphanage she was noted to be malnourished and had eczema on her neck and ear, but with treatment her skin cleared. She had difficulties keeping her milk down and she had poor sucking ability; however, with the proper care these matters improved. Selma’s development is delayed, so she attends rehabilitation training. They are working on crawling, but as of October 2017 she hadn’t mastered it quite yet. She can say ‘mom’ and ‘grandmother’ and will observe the facial expressions of the adults around her. If you walk by her she will make sounds and if you leave her she will cry! Her greatest need if for a family to take her to place called home.

Azalea loves to babble to greet familiar faces and voices, but is afraid of strangers. She also loves the sounds of bells and music. If she is crying and music is turned on, she will stop crying immediately and look around for the source of the sound with her eyes open wide. Azalea does not like to take a bath-she will scream before even getting wet. Her foster parents have to be patient and comfort her until she adjusts to the bath. Azalea’s file was completed when she was 8 months old- at that time she was not able to crawl or stand, but could sit with support. She was using facial expressions and babbling to respond to her foster family talking to her. Azalea responds to her name being called, looks for the source of the sound, and recognizes familiar people and objects. She is newly listed and we’re hoping her family sees her and can bring her home while she’s still so young!

Zoe is an active, happy child who likes to tease and play games with her caretakers. Her file notes that since the time of her intake, she has continued to progress developmentally, has good motor skills and can point to parts of her body when instructed. Her file describes her as becoming more and more beautiful and adorable each month that goes by. She likes to tease her nannies and if they ask her to stand for a photo, she will sit right before they press the shutter and smile and giggle and do this repeatedly to tease with them. She loves to give hugs to everyone she meets and is not afraid of strangers and has learned to wave goodbye when a guest leaves. She lights up when the nannies praise her and she enjoys playing with toys and her peers, but can also play independently as well. She enjoys toys with colorful and various shapes and gets along with her peers. She is able to respond to her nannies instructions and knows when her name is being called. She understands her teacher’s motions and words and often imitates them. At 24 months, she could crawl to look for toys to play and could independently stand up and stand for a while. She is also able to walk by holding onto the rail or by holding on to a nanny’s hand. She now has a steadier gait and can toddle by herself and is walking more steadily than in the months prior. She will reach out her hands to the nannies as if to ask them to help guide her to walk. She will imitate words and uses some words to express her needs.

Zoe was diagnosed with Down Syndrome and has delayed growth and development. She is in rehabilitation/therapy and cooperates well with her rehabilitation training and with therapists. Her file is extremely detailed with a lot of wonderful developmental information and benchmarks and any family interested in reviewing her file can be connected with individuals who have visited her orphanage. This little one has so much potential if given the right family to grow and thrive in.

Jaya is an adorable little girl with a sweet face! During her first year of life, her growth was delayed in comparison to same-age peers. Her caregivers describe her as introverted and she prefers quiet time. She loves being cuddled by her favorite caregiver, and can distinguish her from other caregivers who are less familiar to her. She can hold up her head while lying on her stomach, although she cannot yet crawl or sit upright. She can babble sounds like “nai nai” and her caregivers describe her as easy to smile! She can be very attentive to where she can follow the direction of sounds and voices, and can visually follow moving toys—she’ll even reach out grab toys nearby. WACAP staff met with her in May of 2015 and reported that she was relaxed and had a good connection with her caregiver; she makes good eye contact when interacting with others! She has soft muscle tone and needs extra support of her head and neck when being held. We have several updated photos and videos from our trip for interested families!

Update from May 2020: Xandria sounds like a lot of fun, she is described as: Mostly well behaved, fearless, outgoing and naughty. She can walk and run, and follows simple directions.

There is a $1,000 agency grant for Xandria with her current adoption agency.
