He is very happy when listening to and dancing to music. He understands the caretaker’s words, such as “good boy” and “so cute” and he can smile at the caretaker when hearing such words. Tadd has a ready smile and is an energetic and active baby. He wants to be the first to eat- if the caretaker feeds others first, he will cry loudly. Tadd likes to imitate and will sometimes imitate a singing and dancing show on TV. He cannot walk independently yet, but he can walk around his a walker. He likes to play with the other children and with all kinds of toys. Sometimes he will sit quietly and watch the caretaker, but his favorite thing to do is to play peek-a-boo with the caretakers. His caretakers all like him very much!

5/18/2015 update: Tadd cannot talk yet. He is a happy child. When the nanny takes him for a bath or plays with him, he smiles a lot. Tadd can stand up by holding the crib rail. He can crawl to catch toys. He can move around in the walker. When eating, Tadd will move to the nanny for food in a walker.

Handsome Tad didn’t come into care until he was three years old. Sweet Tad gets up at 6:30 am, naps from 1:00-2:00 pm, and goes to bed at 10:00 pm. He has lessons in the playroom to study simple Chinese characters and numbers, as well as to sing songs from 9:00 am-11:00 am and then again from 2:30 pm- 4:30 pm. Tad is not a picky eater and he likes to try all kinds of food. He has a very big appetite and is a good sleeper. Tad likes cartoons and toys with bright colors. Tad is pretty quiet in general and likes to play alone, but will play with other children too. Tad is obedient and likes to learn about things he is interested in. He likes to look at books and scribble too. Though Tad rarely talks, he does understand simple words and is able to do simple things he is told to do, such as putting away toys. Tad needs a loving and patient family to help put a big smile back on that sweet face!

There is a $2,500 agency grant for Tad’s adoption with a specific adoption agency.

Tara can track objects as they move, grasp toys, and she enjoys interacting with her caretakers. One of Tara’s favorite games include playing peek-a-boo and she loves to go out into nature to look and touch flowers.

Xena is known as a girl with a sweet personality, rarely crying. She likes to play in her bed with toys that make noise, listen to music and being near caregivers while holding their hands. Xena can bang two blocks together, understand when others speak to her and will follow simple directions. A report from 3/2018 indicates she can sit without support, stay in a crawl position, creep on her tummy, reach for toys and visually follow her caregivers when they move around the room.

January 2021 Written Update:   Xena is described as introverted. She likes to play on her own and is not very responsive to other kids and adults.  She’s not attached to anyone. She plays alone and has no communication with others. She doesn’t follow instructions, and is not potty trained yet.  Xena can sit up on her own, and can walk a little while while holding on to supports.  She creeps to stuff that she wants — she enjoys colorful balls and toy cars.  She likes bright colors.  She does not currently receive any schooling.
