Nancy has lived with an experienced foster family since birth. The foster mother was very proactive in getting therapy and services started for Nancy at a very young age. Nancy does not speak, but she understands everything, recognizes people from her immediate environment, laughs with her voice when she likes something. When holding someone’s hand, she can take a few steps. She can crawl and tries to stand up on her own by holding onto a stationary support. She turns easily from back to stomach and vice versa. She sits up and eats from a spoon.
