Larsen is a cutie pie, born with down syndrome in July of 2014. Larsen was put into a foster family in December of 2015. He is a good sleeper and has a good appetite and is not a picky eater. He has a pretty good understand of what people are saying to him, but is still only making sounds to communicate with people. He also uses his actions and facial expressions to express himself. He is good at following simple directions. When Larsen sees his foster mother making delicious food, he gets very happy- even his eyes smile, as he makes ‘mmm’ sounds when eating.

Larsen can walk, run, and jump. He can open doors and get things out of reach by moving a chair and climbing up on the chair. He will shake his bottom and dance when he’s happy. Larsen’s hands and feet are flexible. He has good fine motor skills. He likes to clean up messes, imitate pictures he sees on his foster dad’s cell phone, and imitate people walking backwards. Larsen enjoys playing hide-and-seek with his foster sister. When an older neighbor lady visits the family, Larsen will wave his hands happily to greet her. A little brother recently joined the foster family and Larsen will go to the end of the bed to see him every day. Larsen will push the little brother’s stroller and play with him. Larsen likes playing games with his foster sister, playing outdoors in the park, and playing with water. He will sometimes play in the water with his sister in the bathroom when his foster mom is busy or not paying attention. Larsen sounds like a typical little boy who is going to thrive in a forever family! We hope his family sees him soon!

There is a $2,500 agency grant for Larsen’s adoption with a specific adoption agency. Larsen needs a family with an approved home study to be able to hold his file or move forward with adopting him.
