James is a smiley and adorable little boy who loves to play with cars and ride his bike. His foster mother describes him as cheerful and calm. He attends school and likes to draw and paint. He would like to be a firefighter when he grows up. He wants to put out fires, help people, and save people. James talks about being adopted. He hopes to be adopted and have a ‘parakeet on his shoulder.’ James has mild cognitive delays and a history of trauma. We hope a loving family sees what a treasure he is and fills him with love and encouragement
AUGUST 2023 HOSTING UPDATE: James is a boy who loves to dance. He is very outgoing, social, and extroverted. James gets along with adults and kids. He is a happy, spontaneous, and confident child. He is characterized by being a supportive child with his friends and being fun and very funny, in which he usually interacts appropriately with the people around him. He is characterized as a tender and sweet child. James is generally affectionate and expresses his love with hugs. He holds the adult’s hand to feel safe and guided. James follows instructions and completes the tasks assigned to him. He enjoys playing with peers, especially movement games that lead him to run and compete with others. He also enjoys activities in the open field, visiting the farm, going to the pool, and discovering new places. James wants to be a fireman or a policeman when he grows up! The in-country team said he is a fabulous kiddo with an older soul!
There is a $2,000 agency fee reduction for James’ adoption with the listing adoption agency. Additional agency fee reductions may be available based on the adoptive family’s circumstances. James also has an additional $2,500 grant through Children Need Families; the listing adoption agency will allocate this grant.
