Hazel is darling little girl, born in September of 2012, who is described as adorable and sweet. Hazel is extroverted, active, and loves playing with other children in a group. She also likes to interact with adults and can follow simple instructions well. She likes cartoons and she will laugh at the funny parts of them! Hazel has good gross and fine motor skills. She can walk and go up and down stairs by herself, throw and pick up a ball when playing catch with someone, and eat snacks by herself. Like many other children with Down syndrome, Hazel has delayed language abilities compared with other children her age. However, she is able to speak simple words like “mom” and “dad” and say “bye bye.” She can also express many of her needs and wants by using simple sign language gestures, such as expressing when she wants to eat. Hazel did have CHD (PDA; PH) when she was younger, but she has had heart surgery and now appears to have no heart-related issues. Hazel has waited long enough! Could she be your daughter?

Hazel has a $2,500 grant through her current adoption agency!
