Duke was abandoned at 2 months old. Upon admission to the orphanage, he was diagnosed with Down Syndrome and Congenital Heart Defect (CHD). His caretakers described him as an active, bright and smart kid. Duke has great gross motor skills. He can walk on his own, move around obstacles, and play actively, such as kicking and chasing a ball outside. He is well behaved and follows instructions from his teacher when given. Duke can imitate simple language such as dad, mom, and aunt. He is also able to have simple interactions with his caregivers. Duke knows his shapes, the names of clothes, and the names of five organs! His fine motor skills are good as well. He can pick up and move small objects, he can put shapes into their correct positions, and can hold a pen to color with.

Duke has good self-care ability. He can feed himself, put his shoes and socks on and off, help his caregiver receive and pass objects, wipe his own nose, and wash his hands and face without help. Duke does still wear a diaper. Duke is fond of listening to music, playing with toys, and playing games. He loves to play interactive games and his favorite toy is a light-up music box. Can Duke find a home with your family?
