Meet Daisey! This little one is 2 years old, and has been in foster care for the past year. Daisey is a sweet baby girl, who has Down syndrome, and a small deformity of her left thumb. (Polydactyly is a congenital anomaly with a wide range of manifestations that occurs in many forms, ranging from varying degrees of mere splitting to completely duplicated thumb.) Daisey has the typical developmental delays seen in a child with Down syndrome, and she has been in therapy since she was a baby. She is progressing well! Daisey enjoys musical toys, playing with her foster mom, and riding in her stroller. She is social, loving, and ready to join your family!
