nolan-2016Boy, Born September 2004

Nolan is such a handsome boy!  He needs a loving family!

Listed: August 4, 2010

From his medical records:  long-term effects of some early trauma (right-side hemiparesis), mild mental delays, seizures, flat feet, farsightedness

He has fine motor skills, understands everything, he talks but it is hard to understand him.  Nolan is very physically active, happy and cooperative, friends with other children.   A family living in the states who has 3 children, one who is significantly disabled, has taken a special interest in Nolan but cannot add Nolan to their own family due to the needs of their children. Per the family, “Nolan’s eyes and smile caught our heart. He is close in age to one of our own children. We hope this gift will enable someone to give Nolan the chance to live outside an institution.”

A family must have a completed homestudy to commit to Nolan.  Due to the size of Nolan’s grant, 50% of grant funds will be available upon receiving a travel date, and the other 50% upon passing court.

Nolan has a grant of $19,597.50 available towards the cost of his adoption!

Boy, born 2008

Cerebral palsy
Spastic lower Paraparesis

Listed: Jan 2018

From a family who met him Nov 2018:   Shaw is a very loving boy who desperately wants a family. He hugged us repeatedly asking, “Mama, America? Papa, America?”

He speaks well, enjoys painting, and can walk with some need for support. He sweetly pushes his friend’s wheelchair and it offers stability for him and assistance for his friend. He’s been raised amongst boys much older than him and has picked up swear words but truly is a beautiful soul. He became jealous of our attention when we were talking with his younger roommate and he bit him. The facilitator would like us to note that he has a family history of mental illness and that his family should consider this in their decision. We are head over heals for this boy and honestly would have brought him home without hesitation were we approved for another adoption. Every adoptive family would be wise to consider trauma-informed parenting and to anticipate both aggression and mental illness. Please, consider whether you could be Shaw’s mama and papa.

He is so sweet, but can be a kind of “difficult” – strong-willing and stubborn. He is a smart boy. He wants to be adopted and asks to find a family for him. At the same time he will choose if he likes a family. I would recommend him to a family with older children – older than him, to show a way to behave. He may be very helpful and careful. I often can see him helping other kids with worse disabilities as he has. But he can lose his temper fast. He has a kind of mental retardation/delay. His biological mother is qualified as mentally disabled due to her schizophrenia.

From a family who met him Nov 2018:
Quincey is one of the most darling, endearing boys we have ever met. He is pure joy and just exudes love and affection. His little giggle is contagious. He begged us to take him home to America- he so desperately wants a family. He loves to show off how he can get into his wheelchair (which he calls his car!) himself and beams with pride. He speaks well, is very bright, and will flourish in a family.

He is so sweet, always look happy and friendly.

Emma is going to be transferred into the school orphanage for mentally delayed children, and it is not the best place to anybody. The orphanage may keep her only till summer 2016, and then she will be transferred!

She is much educationally delayed. She is pretty friendly and calm. But her memory is not good, and it is hard for her to remember any rhymes or poems.

This girl needs a patient family who will love her and care of her. She deserves it!

VIDEO:  https://goo.gl/photos/Sdw2Gk8qf9n2rYcC9

From a family who met her summer 2015:  This little girl is wonderful! I have never met a child with so much personality and spunk. She absolutely loves people and she is so desperate for attention. I held her for most of our visitation time one day. If I tried to put her down she demanded that I pick her up again and then she would kiss all over me. She just wanted someone to be near her. Everyday when my husband would walk through the playground gates she would get a stern look on her face and point at him and then motion for him to come to her… NOW:) She would smile from ear to ear when he acknowledged her. You can not help but laugh when you are with her. Even the cold and distant nannies couldn’t keep a solemn expression on their faces when we interacted with her.

She is in need of urgent dental care! I have never seen such decayed teeth before. I am not sure why her mouth is so much worse than all the other children but her mouth is really concerning. She can stand on her own but struggles to lift and bend her legs when she is bearing weight on them. She has a little walker that she does wonderful with. She can walk along a bench by holding on to it but we never saw her walk independently. From what I could tell she does not have any limitations of her upper body.

We never witnessed her show any aggression towards any of the children. When I would sit on the bench holding my daughter she would try to climb in my lap as well, but she never tried to harm my daughter or push her out of the way. She is very hungry for attention and for the love of a family. She would make a wonderful daughter and I am sure she would provide you with a life time of laughter.

This child has significant facial features of FAS (fetal alcohol syndrome).  This is a cautionary disclosure only.  Families should research the varying impacts of this condition.

From a family who met him in June 2014:

This calm little guy came up to me with pleading eyes for attention and is just so polite. God has heard his prayers, and now he is listed for adoption! He is not overbearing or competitive at all. Rather, he is observant and inquisitive. He is about the size of a six year-old and just so gentle. I would take him home in a heartbeat if he was available before. He takes turns riding the red wagon around the orphanage grounds as the bigger boys pull him, and he gestures politely for fresh fruit when he sees it is available. He is kind to other children. He says a few words in his native language, and listened carefully when I was giving descriptions of my family photos. I have confidence that he would do wonderfully in any kind of family, and it is obvious– he can surely reciprocate love! He enjoyed throwing balls, going on walks, playing see-saw, and listening to English descriptions. Whoever adopts this little love will be so blessed to call him a beloved son.

She is a very sweet and kind girl and extremely needs a family.  She will be 5 this December, so any new family may commit to her and start preparing a dossier.

She has siblings, but none are available for adoption; 2 older sisters live with birth mother and 1 younger sister has been adopted.

From a family who met her in summer 2013:
She was in my kids’ groupa.  She is the sweetest little thing and needs out of there ASAP!!!  She has the most noble quiet nature about her.  She is mentally delayed but has so much potential.  She was one of the least favored children in the orphanage and she is desperate for love.  On one occasion she wandered over to the play shelter where we were playing and was trying to eat our daughter’s cookie.  We didn’t have any extra (we brought treats for the groupa every three days or so) so my husband just picked her up to distract her and as soon as he did, she threw her arms around his neck and rested her head on his shoulder just soaking in the attention.  I can’t bear the thought of her being transferred!  She already has it bad enough.

The dynamic duo – here come Rowan and Reisen. Their smile can light up a room and they are certain to win you over with their little boy charm. Both love cars and chocolate. Rowan has been hosted before last summer; Reisen just recently arrived at the orphanage. Both boys have some developmental delays, but are teacher’s favorites. Rowan has grown leaps and bounds since he was last hosted in the US, in every way possible.

Rowan: Loves cars, Happy & Playful, Speech delays; Reisen: Outoging lil bro, Artistic explorer, Friendly

From Dec 2016:
They appeared to be very hyper, having serious behavioral issues and mental delays. They changed families during hosting program because first hosting family couldn’t handle them.

Their sister can be adopted separately from them but adoptive family needs to have approval for three children in order for us to be able to separate them. She lives in a different orphanage from them.

He will be transferred to a handicapped children orphanage with no big chance to survive there. It may happen at the begining of 2017. He needs a family ASAP. He is very good and friendly child.

He has a good potential but no chance for any development in the orphanage. They will place him into the orphanage for handicapped children in a village with no chance for normal life.

His sister was adopted domestically a while ago. Please, help to place him in a loving family!

Significantly delayed; Cerebral palsy

Charlotte, born 2002 {aged out}

New pic Jan 2017.

Simeon is a beautiful Roma child with dark hair and big brown eyes.  He is significantly delayed, and diagnosed with cerebral palsy.  We are trying to get more information on his social history.  Simeon is a fraternal twin, whose sister has already been adopted.

Simeon is described as mostly non-verbal, and is not able to walk on his own.  There just seems to be so much potential for him in a family environment.  He is already an outcast because of his darker skin and will be left institutionalized – and likely bedridden — if not adopted.

From a family who visited with him in 2011:  Simeon is barely responsive to stimuli, but I believe that could change if he received regular, loving attention.  I didn’t observe any of the orphanage workers spending much time interacting with him.  There were times that I was able to get him to smile and grip my hand.  After a few days, he was even able to clap!  But most of the time he is staring off in any direction and seems completely unable to control most of his movements.  He was always either lying down or propped up in a sitting position.  I never heard him speak.  I also never heard him cry or fuss. Overall, a very calm child.

From a family that met him 3/16:
He’s a good size for his age. I was allowed to hold him and he let me do the “mom away”. I kept trying to get into his line of vision, but he kept averting his gaze. It seemed like he could possibly be purposefully avoiding eye contact. I was able to easily shift him to a seated position in my arms, though I don’t think he could sit unassisted.
