Clara

Girl, born 2014
PRC
Down syndrome, CHD

Precious Clara was born with down syndrome and a complex heart defect in May of 2014. Clara joined New Day foster home in November of 2014. When she arrived, she was struggling with malnutrition due, in part, to her heart condition. In February of 2015, Clara was able to have her life-saving heart surgery, and while her recovery was touch-and-go, the surgery was a success and she has since been amazing everyone with her life, spirit and joy. Since Clara’s return to New Day in May of 2015, she has remained healthy without any medical emergencies. She started gaining weight and became much more active and capable with each passing day. Clara has always made a big impact on the people who care for her. She is surprising everyone with her strength, consistent progress, hope, and determination. Her life is a miracle and a beautiful picture of grace and transformation. Don’t miss all the New Day blog posts and amazing photos of Clara! We hope Clara will soon have a forever family of her own. They will be beyond blessed to call Clara their daughter!

You can read every post about Clara on the New Day Foster Home blog.

There is a $1,500 agency grant for Clara’s adoption with her current adoption agency.
