Tasha is an active little girl, and enjoys music and playing with toys. A good mimic, she has rich facial expressions and likes to play in front of the mirror and watch herself. She is very affectionate and will often crawl to other people to play, and then kiss them on the forehead! She is attached to her teachers and knows how to play hand-clapping games or touch noses with them. Tasha is diagnosed with Down syndrome and a congenital heart defect (VSD, PFO). She had a few surgical procedures for her heart condition in April 2016. At 4 months old she would stare at people and was attentive to sound. She would laugh when given attention at 7 months. At just over two years old she was able to crawl on her hands and knees, stand and walk. She knew her name and would respond when called, and though she was not yet using words she was able to express her needs. She could copy her teacher to mimic touching her ears, nose, clapping hands, blowing kisses, and high fives! Tasha is waiting for a family to share her life with. She is in need of love and encourage to help her grow!
Tasha’s current agency has a $4000 grant, available to families who qualify, to assist with the cost of this adoption.
