In less than 8 years, more than 1300+ children with Down Syndrome and other special needs have found their “forever families” at the end of Reece’s Rainbow.

More than $7 million has been disbursed to make those adoptions possible.

It has been nothing short of amazing to witness these precious children, orphans no more, becoming loved daughters and sons and family members. Truly, only God could orchestrate something like this.

This year, 2014, we were thrilled as our 1000th child made it HOME! The Huizinga’s arrived home in February with two precious daughters, Penny and Fanny, and chose to let Penny go through first since she had waited the longest for a family! You can read about their adoption on their blog, be warned, Maureen will make you will laugh… she is a brilliant writer!

For now, I have this update from the family on the girls!

Update 14 March,2014: Girls are settling in nicely 🙂 Penny was hospitalized for stabilization, but now she is home and growing well-two pounds heavier in 1 month! Fanny also looks to have gained a pound or two & is adjusting to a busy household full of siblings. She’s got pretty profound vision issues, but her glasses are in progress. We can not wait to see her in them, and her reaction to truly seeing for the first time. 🙂

Oh, yeah, and they are getting a baby sister (provided the ultrasound didn’t lie) tonight. 😀 Hence, and please forgive, the brevity of the update. We’ll send some updated pictures as soon as we are able!

Follow our families’ adoptions! We are always seeking Prayer Warriors and new
Family Warriors for our Waiting Children and Families in process! Thank you!
