Reece's Rainbow is designed to raise funds exclusively for children with Down syndrome, but there are MANY other grant funds and organizations out there who provide grant funding for the adoption of ANY child. Some are income-based, some are Christian-based, and some have other criteria. Below is a list of grant agencies we are aware of. It is not a complete list by any means. If you know of one not listed here, please share it with me so I can post it for others. And remember, families can be eligible for and receive multiple grants!! Apply everywhere!

Military, Nonrecurring Program. http://www.nefe.org/adoption/adopt.pgs/helpf.html There is a one-time subsidy program available for full-time military personnel. Currently adopting couples or singles can receive up to $2000 per child or $5000 maximum for siblings. Many military personnel do not know this is available to them.

University Adoption assistance Many Universities offer their employees adoption assistance. If you are a employee at a university check to see what benefits you may be able to receive.
