Laynie has Turner syndrome. Her medical report indicates that it is “other type Turner syndrome”, which could be the Mosaic form. She is described as having a positive attitude toward herself and others. Her motor skills are well developed. Her speech is delayed, but she speaks using single words and simple sentences. She’s attending kindergarten and has the assistance of a resource teacher. She mimics the actions of adults and plays games with other children. She enjoys looking at books. She follows verbal directions, asks questions and is beginning to memorize short poems and songs.

Because we only have this child’s file for a short time, she will not be able to receive donations until a family is found for her.

5/23/13—HOMESTUDY in PROCESS

Doug and Lynda are very thankful that despite being deaf, they lead a very enriched life with their children. Their 5 bio daughters can hear, which made for some interesting times. However Andrei is deaf, and the little boy they are now adopting is also deaf. God truly places the lonely in families, and He knew what he was doing by placing Andrei and Brett in their family as now their language will flourish by sign language and actually understand that they have a mommy and a daddy who loves them.

Funding a second adoption so soon after bringing home Andrei this past February is very daunting, but any financial help no matter the amount would greatly be appreciated!

5/23/13—DOSSIER EN ROUTE

Because we only have this child’s file for a short time, he will not be able to receive donations until a family is found for him.

Evan is 3 years old. He is on a special diet due to episodes of vomiting that led to a diagnosis of a metabolism problem. He sits up, crawls, walks with assistance and enjoys being placed in a walker. He reaches for toys and plays with them for periods of time once they are given to him. He is making sounds and babbling, but does not yet have purposeful speech. He loves to interact with adults and will pout when they do not give him the desired attention. He imitates the actions of adults. He has a 1:1 caregiver that works with him daily.

DOB: May 2007

Liam was born with a cleft lip. He has undergone genetic testing and extensive evaluations and consultations with specialists. There is no official medical diagnosis that has been found. The neurologist found “slightly increased muscle tonus of the right leg and extended reflexogenic zone.” His ears are described as “specifically modified”, though his hearing is not effected.  Otherwise, all testing and reports have come back clear/healthy.

Liam has delays in his motor skills and his cognitive development. He sits up and moves around in awalker. He’s not yet walking independently. He reacts when spoken to, answers to his name and pronounces some random syllables and words. He laughs loudly and holds toys and observes them closely. His medical report states: “He needs a family.” Yes, he does!

UPDATE: We have new photos and VIDEOS of Liam!!! He is very small for his age. However, in the videos, he is very alert and responsive to the staff.  Several additional photos and videos are available of Liam.

Ruby’s legs are said to be “spastic”, though no further explanation is given. She rolls over and when on her stomach, can supports herself on her arms while holding her head up. She reaches for toys and holds them. She laughs out loud and she is begining to make purposeful sounds in an effort to communicate. She has a volunteer that works with her and she recognizes this person as soon as she sees her.

Such a lovely little fair beauty!  SO petite, at one year old.

While in the process to adopt Harmony and Penelope, their girls’ country banned Americans from adopting. Gavin and Mali have complete faith that the ban will be lifted one day and they will bring them home. They will never forget or give up on their sweet little angels! In the meantime, they have prayed about and have decided to change countries and bring a big brother home for the girls and Jet!! Through much heartbreak has come something very beautiful and that is bringing home another son. They cannot wait to bring home their handsome and amazing Dylan!

So much love has already been shown and given to our Dylan that will help bring him home…..we would like to thank everyone with our whole hearts!

5/22/13—HOMESTUDY NEARLY COMPLETE

Bryan and Jenifer knew God was calling them to adopt a child with Down syndrome. It was always in the back of their minds but they had put off starting the long, paperwork filled process of adopting.

Then in June 2012, they gave BIRTH to a daughter with Down Syndrome!

They knew that God was still calling them to adopt a child with Down Syndrome. Bryan and Jenifer found Laura on Reece’s Rainbow and inquired about her immediately! Now they are working hard to bring their little girl HOME to her forever family!
