As an extension of our Prayer Warrior project, and an enhancement to our annual Christmas Angel Tree Project, we are seeking passionate folks to be one child’s Christmas Warrior this year.

Our Christmas Angel Tree Project is our biggest and most important fundraiser of the year. Children included on our Angel Tree this year are those with Down syndrome ages 3-9 and some of the most overlooked children from our Other Angels, chosen by our own warriors! They will be posted on one page for people to sponsor and donate for their adoption grants. Children with grants over $5,000 weren’t included, but we will be advocating for them separately. Donor names are not provided to warriors, if you have any questions regarding donations, please email Michelle. It runs from November 1- December 31, 2015.

Those who give more than $35 receive a beautiful photo ornament of their sponsored child to hang on their Christmas tree. These ornaments make fabulous gifts for your friends, family, and fellow Down syndrome advocates, while providing a life-saving gift for the child who is in desperate need of a “forever family” of their own.

This has only been done through God’s bountiful blessings and the advocacy efforts of passionate parents and volunteers such as yourself.  There are no faith-based restrictions on our grants nor our donations. Sponsors of any nationality or faith are encouraged to give during this important fundraising time.

If you are ready to sign up to be a Christmas Warrior, please fill out the form below!  Signups open on September 15.

Further information and details about the Angel Tree will be announced in the coming weeks, so stay tuned! If you have any questions about the program itself, please write to Andrea.

This is not a legal commitment…if you aren’t able to raise $1000, it is the effort that counts. We simply want to make sure that ALL of the angels on our tree have a focused voice of advocacy for them this Christmas. You can still donate to as many children as you want to, and have your own tree full of RR ornaments, but as a Christmas Warrior, your main effort is to raise funds for your designated child.

Sign ups open on 17 September, 2015 and close 15 October, 2015

*** Being a Christmas Warrior does not obligate you to serve as the child’s Prayer Warrior, nor vice versa, but many people who are already Prayer Warriors have also stepped forward to be a Christmas Warrior too. If you are a Prayer Warrior and just do not feel comfortable with fundraising during this time, please do not hesitate to let us know so we can assign your child a Christmas Warrior for this project! ***
