adeleGirl, born 2015

Down syndrome, Congenital Heart Defect

Adele is a sweet little girl who was estimated to be born in January of 2015. She was abandoned when she was about 9 days old and was diagnosed with Down syndrome and a heart defect (PFO). Although her caregivers describe her as introverted and fond of quiet time, she is affectionate and loves to be cuddled! She can hold up her head while lying on her stomach and roll over, though she cannot yet sit upright or crawl. She can easily follow the directions of sounds and voices, and will quietly listen to music when she hears it.

Agency staff were able to meet her in May of 2015 and described her as a happy baby who interacted well with her caregiver. Her caregiver reported that she sleeps well at night and has a good appetite. We have updated videos and a photo of her from our trip for interested families! This current agency also has a $4000 grant available to families who qualify to assist with the cost of this adoption.

JayaGirl, born 2014
PRC
Down syndrome, congenital heart defect

Jaya is an adorable little girl with a sweet face!  During her first year of life, her growth was delayed in comparison to same-age peers. Her caregivers describe her as introverted and she prefers quiet time. She loves being cuddled by her favorite caregiver, and can distinguish her from other caregivers who are less familiar to her. She can hold up her head while lying on her stomach, although she cannot yet crawl or sit upright. She can babble sounds like “nai nai” and her caregivers describe her as easy to smile! She can be very attentive to where she can follow the direction of sounds and voices, and can visually follow moving toys—she’ll even reach out grab toys nearby. WACAP staff met with her in May of 2015 and reported that she was relaxed and had a good connection with her caregiver; she makes good eye contact when interacting with others! She has soft muscle tone and needs extra support of her head and neck when being held. We have several updated photos and videos from our trip for interested families!

A sweet girl with some attitude!! :)

From a family who met her Feb 2016:

She is BEAUTIFUL. The few pictures we were able to take do not do her justice. She has the most beautiful eyes and is sweet as can be. She’s very calm and sweet and snuggly. She likes to be tickled. I wish I could somehow express with words how beautiful and precious she is. It broke my heart to hold her and not be able to bring her home. Please someone go get this sweet girl! She is in a very easy region to adopt from! She needs a family to get her out of the orphanage and let that hair grow into pigtails!

Poor girl is obviously drugged and needs out!
