Dylan

DylanBoy, born April 2014
PRC
Down syndrome

Dylan is darling!

What a little doll baby Dylan is! He recently turned 2 years old and has a diagnosis of Down syndrome. His file was made when he was only 7 months old so we are asking for an update. In the meantime…

His file states – The child is active, optimistic, restless and will cry when meeting with strangers. He will cry when he is hungry or when he wets his diaper. When teased the child can smile, seeing aunts who take care of him, he will move his limbs happily. Under the care and love of the caretakers in the institute, he can feel safe, happy and satisfaction. He has built a solid and close relation with his caretakers.

It sounds like this boy has learned to attach which will make it easier for him to attach to his new family over time. Are you his Mama?

Dylan has a $6500 agency specific grant available with his current agency.

Jack

Boy, born 2015
PRC
Down syndrome, congenital heart defect

Jack loves playing with other children, and he has his opinions on who are his favorite people. He enjoys watching TV, especially dance and music programs. His favorite toys are the ones that make sounds, and he wants to press the buttons all by himself! He also enjoys going on walks outside. Jack is diagnosed with Down syndrome; his medical exam in January 2016 also noted a heart murmur and diagnosed him with a congenital heart defect, as well as malnourishment. In June his caregivers report that he was in good health, and could sit on his own for a moment and roll over and over quickly. When he recognizes people he waves hello and makes sounds at them. He also likes to speak to himself, and he can play well on his own. Jack is an adorable little guy who needs a family to give him lots of care and attention.

The agency that currently has Jack’s file has a $4000 grant, available to families who qualify, to assist with the cost of this adoption.

Austin

Boy, born 2014
PRC
Down syndrome

Austin likes to make faces at himself in the mirror, smiling or opening his eyes and mouth wide. A restless and active boy, he is quite interested in new things, and he laughs loudly when he’s happy. Austin is diagnosed with Down syndrome, and he has no other known medical needs. His voice is low, he doesn’t scream or shout, and although he doesn’t yet speak, if he needs something he lets his nannies know by making sounds or crying. His caregivers can easily tell how he feels by the sound of his voice, and he responds appropriately to their facial expressions. When praised he is happy, and when scolded he gets very quiet. By October 2016 he could crawl, sit on his own, and go up and down stairs by holding onto the railing. If Austin doesn’t like something he’ll refuse it by just not moving, and his caregivers all now understand that this means he doesn’t want it! When he sleeps, he sucks on two of his fingers, and his nanny will sneak over later and move his hand out of his mouth once he’s asleep. This cheerful little fellow needs a family who will give him all the care and attention he needs!

The agency who currently holds Austin’s file is offering a $4000 grant.
