Sixteen month old Colt is a curious toddler who loves music! Whenever he hears it, he follows the music to shake and dance. Life of the party! His developmental report was completed in June when he was 13 months old. At that time, Colt could raise his head when lying on his stomach, turn over by himself, and grasp his feet to play. He loved to tease people. He will stick is tongue out, make faces and laugh. When he’s excited he says things like, “Ah ba da!” He babbles in response to people. When he goes outside, he is very curious about his surroundings. He engages people with eye contact, and he can nod his head for “yes.” He is strong-willed, and if he doesn’t like what you’re doing, he lets you know! Colt is closest to his caretaker. Down syndrome, mild anemia

Listed: August 2017

Nate is a gorgeous and active 14 month-old baby boy who likes being held by his caretaker. Nate likes bright colors and listening to music. He enjoys playing with the music rattle toy attached to his crib. He is attached to his caregiver and is very happy when he sees his caregiver coming, especially if she is holding a bottle of milk or toys. He will reach out his hands to ask for them and his face is full of happiness. He reacts to sounds around him and if he’s upset, he’ll calm down once held. When the weather is nice, Nate spends time outside to get some fresh air, play in the grass, and look at flowers. He is always happy to be outside and to watch other kids play. Nate bathes daily in the summer and three times a week in the winter. He loves being in the water and will kick the water with his feet, while holding onto the sides or onto a caregiver with his arms. Nate’s file was prepared in January. At that time, he could turn over with a bit of help, hold up his head while laying on his stomach, and grab toys or other people’s hands. He was making babbling sounds. We hope that Nate will be able to come home while he’s still so young!

Nate’s current adoption agency is offering a $5,000 grant towards his adoption.

Wendel

Boy, born 2015
PRC
Down syndrome, CHD

Listed: August 2017

Wendel is cute as a button! His happy, bright personality shines through in all of his photos and videos. Wendell does not have formal language skills yet, but he enjoys communicating with others through smiles, hugs, and some simple words, such as goodbye and coming. He recognizes his name when it is called and recognizes familiar people. He has a good understanding of social interactions and can show his emotions. Wendel can follow simple commands and has strong imitating ability.

The orphanage describes him as handsome, active, and extroverted. Wendel enjoys listening to music, playing games, and playing with toys, especially rag dolls. He gets along well with others and enjoys spending time with his peers. Wendell has quick reactions and is inquisitive; if an object is hidden he will search for it rather than be upset that it is gone. Wendel can crawl quickly and is beginning to walk. He can stand and walk with someone’s help or by holding onto a railing. He has good coordination and his motor skills are developing. The orphanage says that Wendel has strong adaptability. He does not yet have bowel or bladder control.

Wendel was abandoned at one month old. He was diagnosed with Down Syndrome and two congenital heart defects, an atrial septal defect and patent foramen ovale. The orphanage reports that both heart conditions have healed themselves and have sent tests and images from February, 2017 to show this. Wendel is also listed as having the cytomegalovirus (CMV) and a milk protein allergy. The orphanage says that he was never affected by CMV and that this is a mistake. We are unclear whether the listed milk protein allergy means that he is lactose intolerant or that he has PKU as he has certain PKU physical qualities and is getting low-protein milk powder and low-protein rice powder, but the orphanage denies that he has PKU. The agency has requested a PKU test to be sure.

In order to help Wendel find a family, his current agency is waiving their entire agency fee.

Adorable Wendel needs a family to bring him home. Can that family be yours?

Eddie

Boy, born 2015
PRC
Down syndrome

Listed: August 2017

Wide-eyed Eddie is curious and explores by rolling over in his crib and play mat. Eddie was born with Downs Syndrome and a heart defect. He was abandoned as a frail, thin baby who struggled with digestive issues. Under the loving care of his nannies, his eating has improved and he is clearly more comfortable and putting on a little chub. He sweetly comforts himself by sucking his thumb. At the age of a year and a half, Eddie’s developmental delays are fairly significant so it’s hard to predict how much he will catch up with the attention and services he needs.

There’s no doubt this little cutie will benefit greatly from joining a family!
