Girl, Born July 2005
Taylor is a beautiful girl who has only been transferred here recently. She has mild CP and has great potential in a family environment. She will benefit so much from physical therapy, and of course the love and encouragement of her own family.
More medical info coming. Let's try to get Taylor OUT before she regresses to a crisis situation.
Married couples only, larger families and older parents welcome, travel required. Because she is already institutionalized, a completed home study is required prior to commitment.
Oh, Noel! ;(( Noel was born with hydrocephaly and severe CP. She has had surgery and has a shunt for her hydrocephalus, but she is still just "existing" for right now. She is blessed to still be at the baby house….the director can't bear to send her on.
There is no way to know her potential until she is out of an orphanage and in her own family setting. She will likely require 24 hour care. But she deserves a family of her own!
Because of her severe special needs, any family considering a commitment for Noel should be home study approved and have experience caring for a child with these significant needs.
MED INFO COMING, CHECK BACK SOON
Donations will be accepted for this child when further information is received.

Erin is a very friendly, pretty 9 year old girl who is hoping for a forever family. More photos available, married couples only.
From a family who met her in Feb 2012:
Oh, Erin is my sweetheart! Seriously. She’s just adorable. Right now, she’s gone to another region, getting her leg braces adjusted after a growth spurt. She is very mobile. When we first met her, she was sitting in the floor putting her shoes on. She speaks some English and is in the highest level of classes they offer, which includes a foreign language option, so I know she must be very smart. This picture does NOT do her justice.
She is nine, nearly 10, and is like a thin 8 year old. She has personality like you would not believe, and is very polite and friendly. She was so helpful to us the first few days when we were new. Everyone really seemed to like her as well. Honestly if it weren’t for the fact that she had a Russian accent, Erin looks like any other American preteen. She would fit right into a family and school and church! Her diagnoses on paper seem pretty serious but in real life, they did not. Her CP did not appear severe; it primarily affected her ankles and feet from what we saw and it didn’t impair her mobility hardly at all. Her eyes had a mild pulling in of what appeared to be the left eye. I have no idea why they listed developmental disorders, because as I mentioned, she’s in the highest level of classes and is considered to be very smart.
Girl, Born December 12, 2002
Age: 7 years old.

Allie was found on a lawn near an abandoned building. Presently she has normal body and intellectual development. Although she was 3 years old upon admission, she was very independent. She is currently studying in a special school established by a disabled persons' federation and has learned some simple sign language. She has simple communication with others. Although Allie’s special need is: congenital deaf-mute, she is active, gets along well with others, and is restless. Under the care and love of her caretakers, she feels safe, happy and content. Since admission she has not had any serious diseases, just occasionally gets a cold, running nose, cough and fever. She does not have any drug allergies.

What a stunning, happy little girl! Berkeley has long blonde hair and beautiful brown eyes. She was born with clubbed feet, but is able to walk holding on to a fence or hands or the wall. She is very determined and tries to do everything on her own. Surgery and therapy could change this little girl's life!
Berkeley does have strabismus (crossed eye), her records indicate hydrocephaly, but she certainly seems to be doing fine and not showing any signs of cognitive difficulty from that. She also has hypoplasia of her right kidney.
From her medical records: The girl had spinal hernia like, the hernia was successfully operated, that is why the girl can walk now. As the result of that hernia the girl has incontinence of urine. Hydrocephaly. She has shunt in the brain which should be there for few more years. She is very kind and loving and has lots of friends. "
Berkeley has SO much potential, and will do so well in a loving family environment!

An article from December 2006 states "Now urgent problem with one of our patients Iryna who is nearly 3 years old. She is HIV-positive but she does not need special treatment; the virus can sleep in her body for many years (slow progressor). It was disturbing her underlying disease – cerebral palsy and she needs a qualified neurological treatment which we cannot provide in our hospital. The children with this pathology go to the orphanage for children with central nervous system damage and mental disturbances (the mental institute). We are working in this direction but it's hard to say how long the girl will be in our center. Frankly, we are scared to send the child to people suffering from phobias about HIV. It is excusable for an uneducated man, but should never be in health care workers. A year ago, she held her head badly, could not sit there and just not realized was smiling, but now she crawls, stands, leans on the barrier and is beginning to talk. The children at this hospital are loved, they are neatly dressed and well trimmed" (photo taken between August '06-December '06.)
Please be flexible if inquiring about the little girl Iryna mentioned in the article as we are somewhat sure this is her picture, yet there is a chance we may get a different photograph of her. We understand this is a leap of faith and are asking for an open and flexible family.
The hospital Iryna was in at the time the article was written seems to be a decent place, but we believe she has been transferred to the mental institute. It is our hope to find a special family very soon who can help with her HIV, CP and also with any emtional help she may need. Please help to find a family for this little girl. This is her only chance.
Miss Patti is a beautiful 7 1/2 year old girl with CP. She also has strong facial features of fetal alcohol syndrome. (FAS). She is described as a sweet girl, affectionate, friendly, and would like a family of her own.
More photos available, married couples only.
From an adoptive family who visited with her in January 2012: We met "Patti" today. She's absolutely adorable! She's friendly and appears quite intelligent. She's also very mobile. She has a wheelchair but it looks more like it's just for convenience. She sat on a regular chair for lunch and when she was done, stood up and walked a couple of steps and got into her wheelchair, neatly backed herself out and rolled down the hallway to her groupa room. I believe she has only CP from what I can tell, and it appears to be very mild. I watched her feed herself- there's no evidence of any impairment except in her legs and even that is mild. The orphanage does therapy- we had an opportunity to met with the therapist today and discuss/compare methods and will be continuing to communicate after our adoption is complete as well (we exchanged emails with several staff at their request).
Patti does have many of the facial features of FAS, but, I do not see the neurotypical indicators as much. She is very well behaved, courteous to the other children and staff, and follow instructions well. She seems very calm and serene. She seems to have a quiet, obedient spirit with a little spark of charm that is just waiting for a mom and dad to bring it to a full flame. I smiled at her today and said "hi" and she smiled so sweetly and ducked her head like she was embarrassed to have so much attention. This sweetheart would be a wonderful daughter- I hope her family finds her soon

INTERESTED FAMILIES MUST BE HOME STUDY APPROVED prior to a commitment for Patti. Married couples only, larger families and older parents ok, travel required.

Cate has heart issues, and her diagnoses are as follows: discordant atrioventricular junction, corrigent transposition of magistral vessels, coronary-left ventricle fistula, complete atrioventricular heart block
Cate does have some facial features of FAS, families considering her adoption should be educated on the spectrum effects of fetal alcohol syndrome and the challenges of adopting older children.

Isn't Valerie cute?? She is diagnosed with hypothyroidism. She also has strabismus (crossed/lazy eyes). She is diagnosed with developmental delay, and shows many of the facial characteristics of a child with FAS (Fetal Alcohol syndrome). But she is a darling girl, very active, loving and affectionate! She is facing the institution soon. I hope a family is out there waiting just for her!
If you are unfamiliar with FAS, please spend some time researching this condition. Just as with Down syndrome, FAS and FAE have a wide variation of effects on each child, both medically, physically, and cognitively. This is typically dependent on how long during the pregnancy the mother consumed alcohol, and of course, how much. There is no way to know this ahead of time.
Donations will be accepted for this child when further information is received.
Brittany is a beautiful girl with striking blue eyes. She was born with severe effects of FAS. She is able to walk and speak some, but she is quite delayed. She will so benefit from having a loving family of her own.

Sweet girl, I love her curly hair! Olive is listed as having a mild-to-moderate mental delay. She is small, about the size of a typical 4-year-old. She has made good developmental progress being in this orphanage. Olive does show significant facial features of FAS, although this is not documented in her medical records.
URGENT: This is a new orphanage for us to work with. These children are older, and will be transferred at the end of summer and it will be extremely hard to adopt them once they are transferred.
If you are considering this child, please do not delay!

Tressa is facing imminent transfer. She does not have much to be happy about. Maybe you can make this the last Christmas she spends alone?

Chrystyna is a beautiful, brown haired, brown eyed girl who deserves a chance at a better life! Her official orphanage papers say she has developmental delays/difficulties from birth, but nothing more specific than that. It is possible she has FAS (Fetal Alcohol Syndrome). Her biological mother was deprived her parental rights in December 2004, and the biological father is not known. Chrystyna has so much potential, and will be a precious gift to any family who adopts her.
Chrystyna is already living in an institution, so we need a family for her right away!
Chrystyna does have a sister, Karen. Karen does not have any diagnosed special needs. If you are interested in adopting both girls, you can do so, or Chrystyna is free to be adopted separately. Please inquire!
UPDATE: God has been watching Chrystyna. She was recently transferred out of the institution into a wonderful facility, where they teach these children, work with them, and they appear very well cared for. The difference in the few girls who were transferred OUT of the institution is incredible! Please give these girls a second chance for a loving family!
