k9ip-3
Date of Birth: July 2008
Gender: Male
Eyes: Gray
Hair: blonde
Nature: Quiet, medically healthy (besides DS)
From missionaries who know him: "The boy has very tender, affectionate, cheerful and forgiving personality. He does not hesitate approaching to people and looks with interest at what they are doing and truly tries to emulate. He is doing it in such a cute way that these attempts turn out to be very funny to watch! Ilya does not speak yet but he is showing some progress in speaking.
The whole world is like a puzzle to him. When he hears a sound whether by tram or car – it is the whole event in his life. He stops and looks to the side, where sound occurs. When he is given toys he can play alone and will quietly deal with himself, allowing the rest to others.
The child needs tactile sensations very much. He loves to cuddle and be cuddled. He is not doing it in a demanding, but gently and neat way. He is independent and if falls he not waiting for help from an adult. He's just not accustomed to it and is not expecting that it someone might be interested in him. He found his simple way for tactile sensations: he is touching his palm with something soft.
Ilya responds quickly to someone’s smile with a soft laughter. He is not potty trained yet but in a family will pick it up quickly. He is very friendly with the kids but at the same time he can stand up for himself; if someone takes away a toy from him, Ilya will follow the offender, trying to get it back. Ilya loves to eat. If we go for a walk, everyone pays attention to his cheeks, cute little hamster! Ilya does not like to run or play sporty games, he prefers quiet games with toys."

Date of Birth: October 2005
Lively child, cheerful character, always in good spirits. Accurate, loves beautiful clothes and playing dress-up. She takes pride in her appearance. She likes to help her nannies set the table for dinner. She takes this job very seriously and she wears an apron and a cap and puts everything in it's correct place – fork on the left, knife on the right. She loves to draw and is very artistic. Her drawings often depict a house, a mom and a dad. She hopes that her dream will come true.
The only health information that we have about Sarah at this time is that she has a "serious incurable disease". She is listed on the HIV page and also on the Other Angels page in case it is Hepatitis C or something else. Please be open to health conditions if committing to adopt Sarah as we may not be able to get medical records before committment in this region.
Sarah may be at risk of being transferred.

Boy, Born November 2007
This darling little boy is waiting for his forever family. He struggles with significant cleft issues and facial deformities. He also struggles with kidney problems. From his medical records, they indicate that he has Edwards Syndrome, also known as Trisomy 18. This is quite a challenge, and most children do not survive past birth. We do not know if he has any of the other complications, but he clearly has many of the facial features and cognitive delays.
Maybe there is a super special family out there who will give Shaun a chance to really shine, and be all God intends for him to be!

This little one has been waiting SO long. This gorgeous little blondie has a significant heart defect and needs to see a cardiologist. She is doing ok for now, but definitely needs a family quickly! She also appears to have strabismus. She has the most beautiful eyes!
Update Fall 2011- She is not mobile, does not speak, but she takes food from the grated bottle (bottle with top of nipple cut off, so thicker liquids go thru), and can understand some things. Despite her conditions she can still smile, but doesn't know how to play with toys and throws them.
Single moms and Canadian families welcome! Additional picture available!

Miss Jeanne has a birth defect of her eyes. We do not know anything more than that at this time, only that her vision is impaired. Families interested in considering Jeanne may be able to obtain more information with a completed home study.
An additional comment was sent to us: From looking at the picture of this little girl it appears that at least her one eyelid has a cleft to it and if that is the way it appears, she has what is called a coloboma of her eye. I know this because my daughter was born with the same thing and has since had it repaired. Her sight was also affected and she now has to wear eyeglasses … if you have any other questions feel free to email me.
SINGLE MOMS WELCOME!
Boy, Born December 2007
This darling little boy is waiting for his forever family, and we believe his condition to be one called Saethre-Chotzen Syndrome.
Girl, Born January 2006
Miss Anastasia is a darling little girl! She is almost 6 already and desperately needs a family. She is facing transfer to the mental institution very soon. She does have a heart condition, we are waiting to get more details on it. She also has some strabismus. She is described as very happy and gentle. She is not walking on her own yet.

Austin (16ka1-3)
Boy, Born June 2006
This darling little boy is waiting for his forever family. He has very unique facial features, but I am unfamiliar with the condition that causes these. One of the possible diagnoses we have been made aware of *may* be a form of Russell Silver Syndrome (RSS). This most recent photo shows he is growing well, and seems to be active and relatively happy. After what we learned about RSS, it seems much more likely than the previously supposed progeria, which is good for Austin! Please consider adopting Austin and helping him be the best that he can be! There will never be a place for him in his country outside the walls of an institution, just like our children with Down syndrome.
I MET MY 5/5/5 GOAL OF $5000!!
