John is from an African country who has lost both his parents to a recent tragic illness outbreak in his home country. John will turn 16 in January 2017 and he can no longer be adopted due to the visa requirements of the US. John is one of the most loving, kind and tenderhearted young boys that you will meet. Anyone that meets him are drawn in by his sweet spirit despite the fact that he has been through so much tragedy in his life. John fell out of a Mango tree when he was 4 years old and it caused an injury to his lower back- his disc is damaged and at times it pains him so much and will impact his ability to move around without hindrance. John keeps persevering despite the pain it causes him and he is able to keep his good mood.

Luthuli

 

boysillouettenophotoLuthuli is an intelligent 3 year old boy in South Africa who loves playing with his peers. While Luthuli was healthy for the first three months of his life, his head began to increase and his development slowed for unknown reasons. Recent assessments by a doctor have diagnosed Luthuli with Macrocephalus, brain atrophy and frontal bossing.

While there are unknowns for Luthuli’s future development, he has been reported to be developmentally on target and has not shown signs of developmental delays or low intelligence.

Kade, Tyce and Piper

KADE, TYCE, PIPERHere is a terrific three! These siblings have been though their share of life. Kade is the youngest at approx. 11 years old, and healthy.  His older full sister Piper is 13. Their half-brother Tyce is 12 and suffers from some mental and physical delays. He is a very sweet boy who has been very poorly treated. These three lost their parents when they died during the Ebola epidemic. Piper herself had and beat the virus, but has some lingering side effects from the virus.

August-updateAugustPrecious August is 4-5 years old and struggles with epilepsy, developmental delay, and a crooked arm.

Update on August is that he is on Epilepsy meds and the agency is working with Mercy Ships who are doing weekly therapy. They will be bringing over a soft head brace for when he falls, and they are having a splint and special table and chair built for him! They say he is improving and very happy.

Nevan is a very cute boy with chocolate skin color. He has big eyes with thick eyebrows and long eyelashes. He has straight hair with slightly coarse texture.

Nevan is a cheerful boy with smiley character. He is very welcoming and friendly. He makes friends very easily and adapts well. Nevan is playful and active. He loves playing with a ball. He is known for his smiley behavior and very confident personality. He is expressive that he can express his needs and approach adults. His nannies tell that he is very obedient and respects adults. He is very peaceful that he doesn’t get into a fight when he interacts with his friends. He cries when he gets upset and reports to his nannies.
