Update as of Dec 2013:
Valerie has very low muscle tone, while laying on her belly lifts up her chest by supporting with her hands, but very soon gets tired and lays down on her belly. She is able to turn herself from belly to back and opposite. She moves in her environment by rolling herself; does not yet sit without help, with support is sitting in half laying position. Valerie’s emotions are changing quickly, often are not adequate, but in general her mood is good. She very much likes to be touched, to be played with, is happy, if over-stimulated starts to laugh loudly. Does not yet understand language, makes eye contact for a short period of time. Doesn’t always react to the sound‘s stimulation and react with body movements. Tries to find a source of sound stimulation. Observes toys and seeks for the musical toys, shortly follows the objects moving horizontally. Her hands are weak, accidentally touches the toys, has difficulty to grab them, when the toy is placed in her hand holds them for short period of time and then puts her hands into the mouth. The girl‘s mouth and articulation mechanism are of low tone, mouth is half opened, tongue is big and keeps it out of the mouth. Drinks from a bottle, part of the liquids comes out of the mouth. In her active vocabulary she has some spontaneously pronounces sounds, sounds combinations are similar to syllables and sometimes she pairs them up. You can hear different sounds she does not articulate she is able to make with her tongue and lips.
