Allen and Carrie have been together for six years and are happily raising 6 children. Carter, 10, and Bradley, 8 are children from Carrie’s previous marriage. Nolan, 2, came next. And most recently, Paxton and Mallory, 10 year old twins, and Katerina, 6 adopted from Ukraine, home forever March 17, 2011.
Their adoption journey started out like so many other families. They wanted to grow their family a little bit bigger and hoped to adopt a sibling group. After becoming approved for a domestic adoption, Carrie found Reece’s Rainbow while researching special needs. Together, they have spent the last 2 years praying with other families as they went through the paperwork, tears and triumphs. There were even a couple of children they thought of committing to, but it wasn’t meant to be.
After being made aware of the plight of orphans internationally, God changed their plans and prepared them for an adoption from Ukraine. While awaiting a travel date, little Mallory was asking Santa for a family. One month later, Allen showed up and was introduced as her Papa. She beamed from ear to ear!
The children have adjusted very well and it has been such a positive experience. They all feel very comfortable adding another child to the family, but who? Their journey has been difficult, but they are excited to give Savannah the life she so deserves.

Jared and Debbie have been married for thirteen years. They met while attending college at Texas A&M University and are currently living in Port Neches, TX where they are both teachers and coaches. After dating for two years they were married in June of 1998. With very busy work schedules, they waited nine years to start their family. They quickly learned that conceiving on their own was not going to be an easy process. After two years of trying, God blessed them with their precious little Carter Ellis in July of 2009. Jared and Debbie found out at fourteen weeks into the pregnancy through amniocentesis that Carter would have Down’s Syndrome. They were both so apprehensive about the unknowns, but as soon as they looked into the eyes of their little angel, all of their worries melted away. Carter has touched the lives of so many people, but none more than his parents. Two years ago Debbie discovered Reece’s Rainbow on the internet and began to empathize so much with every child she saw. She just could not understand why people would let go of children with such a special and unique temperament and view of the world. She began to donate to children and used her role as a teacher to raise awareness to her students. She started her own class adoption program for Christmas. Every student donated and set a goal to receive a Christmas Angel ornament for the child that they chose. Every class met their goal and the ornaments still hang proudly in her Texas classroom. Still, she wanted to do more and knew that one day she wanted to add to her family and life with one of these special children. After a lot of prayer and two more years of failed attempts to conceive again on their own, Jared and Debbie finally recognized that God called them for a different purpose. It was then that they found Braeden. Jared and Debbie knew right away that fate and faith had led them to him. The Wingfields are beyond excited to add Braeden to the family and hope that the process moves as quickly as possible.

Dale and Kate have been married for 10 years. They only planned on having two children. However, after experiencing parenthood, they decided two would not be enough. They have four biological children-three boys (6,4,3 months) and one girl (2). However, recently several of their friends have adopted and their eyes were opened to the blessings of adoption. They had been staring at Sharon’s picture for months. Kate started a blog, hoping to raise money and help a family to find Sharon. Dale was very nervous about being able to afford the adoption process. However, after a few weeks, Dale realized he had to have faith. They have realized that no one stepped forward to be Sharon’s family, because they were her family. Though the finances still seem daunting, they are full of hope and excitement about adding a precious daughter to their family.
