More photos available.  No more than 4 children at home, travel required.

Alexander’s grant of $12409.00 was divided in half and shared with Grant and Charles.

Holly 25HA

Holly-jan148mc5-25
Girl, born April 2009
Eyes: Hazel
Hair: blond
Diagnosis: Down syndrome

Restless nature. (02/24/11) The girl is calm. Cognitive interest in practically does not show. Self-sits, stands with support lying rotated in all directions, not creeps. Independently takes the toy in both hands, unstable interest. Understanding of simple everyday instructions available. Emotional reaction only after prolonged stimulation. Spontaneously utters certain vowel sounds.  Does not self feed.

Update from a family who met her, March 2012:

I was there to visit another child, so after quickly greeting her, I turned away to interact with the other child instead. Holly would have none of that! She doesn’t walk yet, but she scoots quickly, and made her way directly to me and into my lap. She giggled a lot and interacted with me the entire time I held her. She stole my heart with her outgoing personality.

The caregivers told me that she had health issues for the first few years of her life and she is only now becoming healthy. She is very tiny for her age. She is in an orphanage that provides for the children but I feel really needs a family soon so that she can start receiving interventions and therapies so that she may grow into a healthy little girl.

Holly’s grant of $3525.51 was gifted to Ruthie.

Yegor B. 5G

Yegor B-jan14b5jn -5G
Boy, born January 2007
Hair: Dark
Diagnosis: Down syndrome

Yegor is a handsome little monkey with blonde hair and brown eyes. He was born with a VSD, which led to pulmonary hypertension, but he was blessed to have had corrective surgery in April of 2008 and is doing fine now. He will greatly benefit from seeing a cardiologist here to ensure that any hypertension can be controlled or further corrected with surgery. Yegor also has bilateral cryptorchidism, which can be corrected surgically.

Yegor’s grant of $11,859.00 has been gifted to Dagmar, Pearson and Grady.
