Because every family deserves the blessing of a child with Down Syndrome... |

Connor James
Boy, born April 2012
PRC
Down syndrome
When Connor came into the orphanage at two weeks old he was examined and found to be a normal healthy baby boy. At two months old caretakers noticed that his weight was not increasing. They enhanced his nutrition and supplemented his formula. Connor’s original report done when he was just 4 months old had no official diagnosis but a recent update from his orphanage after his first birthday indicates Connor has Down Syndrome.
He is babbling and enjoys his time with the nannies. He is able to pick up and play with toys. They say he is crawling but not yet sitting up himself or pulling up to stand. Several pictures and a video are available from the agency.
Arina
Girl, born June 1999
Speech issues
Arina’s paperwork will not be ready for her to be adopted until late 2014. She will need to find a family before she turns 16!
Arina is a beautiful young lady! She is on the shy side and quiet but just so eager to be with you and next to you. She loves to braid ones hair and does an incredible job! I see a hairdresser in her future! A mission team visited her school and she took to a particular team member and really attached to her and opened up. One of the other team members gave her some purple barrettes because she saw that Arina always had a purple hair scrunchie in her hair to keep it up and she hugged her with a big grin and just about in tears. She was so grateful.
When she was asked what was one thing she would like to change about herself she said her character because she trusts others too much and they always hurt her. She enjoys classical music and would like to learn how to play the piano. She enjoys sports such as ping pong, badmitten and she also enjoys art, cross-stitching and beading. If she could choose to be in a busy place or a calm and quiet place she would enjoy a little of both. She would prefer to be in the presence of friends verse alone. She is not concerned about being a follower or leader she just wants to be loved and be able to trust others. She would like to be a massage therapist when she can have a career. If she could have three wishes she would love to ride in an airplane, have a cell phone and travel. If she could visit anywhere she said she would love to go visit Paris because of the atmosphere. She has never been out of country but would love to. When asked would she like to visit America she had a big grin and said yes. If she could choose a family to stay with that had children she said she would prefer to be the middle child. She said she prefers girls in the family but younger boys are ok. Her favorite colors are purple, pink and black. She loves cats and dogs and size does not matter and her favorite animal is a parrot.
This young lady has such a tender heart and would love the opportunity to experience the love of family and be able to trust and just feel secure in order to breath. You can see this young lady longs for the touch of a mother.
Tina

Girl, born Feb 2009
PRC
Down syndrome,Postoperative CHD (VSD after repair)
Sweet little Tina! She understands simple questions, answers with single words. She can sit, crawl, and walk, but she’s not stable yet, in her walking (report seems to be from mid-2012).
Kate
Girl, born January 2010
PRC
Cerebral Palsy
Kate has had rehabilitation for some time and made great progress. Recently, she can sit, stand by holding the railings on her own, walk slowly for about 20 steps, reacts when someone calls her name, and crawls to you.
She likes to smile and play with other children. She likes toys with sounds and she can play them for a long time by herself and doesn’t feel bored. She also likes to be cuddled; every time she is being cuddled, she will laugh happily, sometimes she will fall asleep quietly slowly.
She is even-tempered and seldom cries. Her intelligence development is a little slower.
Leah
Girl, born January 2010
PRC
Down syndrome
Leah is an active and curious little girl. According to her foster mom she is higher functioning compared to other children with the same special need. She is able to say, “mama, pa, and DADADA.’ Leah sleeps well and is not fussy about the foods served to her. She does not have a bad temper, but can become annoyed if one does not allow her to grab things you are holding. (2012)
Amelia 16G

Girl
DOB September 2009
Amelia is a very beautiful girl with long dark eyelashes. She has a warm and pleasant smile and appears to be an orphanage favorite. Additional photos & video available. She is in a ‘psychoneurological baby house even though she seems to be developing normally. Amelia has HIV. The caregivers are very loving toward the children in the HIV ward. A recent adoptive family has reported their daughter’s transition to be exceptionally smooth. The children in the orphanage have access to outdoor play, physical therapy play equipment, and a sensory room. She is in a small group so the caregiver to child ratio is good. She receives plenty of food, but rarely fresh fruits or fresh vegetables. The children in her orphanage have access to ARV medications and see a specialist doctor twice per year.
$223.40 is available towards the cost of my adoption!
