Miss Jeanne has a birth defect of her eyes.  We do not know anything more than that at this time, only that her vision is impaired.   Families interested in considering Jeanne may be able to obtain more information with a completed home study.

An additional comment was sent to us:  From looking at the picture of this little girl it appears that at least her one eyelid has a cleft to it and if that is the way it appears, she has what is called a coloboma of her eye.  I know this because my daughter was born with the same thing and has since had it repaired.
