EZRAH and EDEN for the Thew family — CA
Nathan and I have been married for almost 10 years. We have 4 super fun kids. Three were born here in america and one was born in Uganda and adopted by us two and a half years ago. My husband is a United States Marine and I am a Waiting Child Advocate helping to find families for “harder to place” children.
We saw the files of these two children in China and fell head over heels in love with both of them. The boy is two years old. He has “joint contracture of both knees” and very low muscle tone so at this time, he cannot crawl, stand or walk. This could stay the same once he gets home, or seeing a doctor here and getting therapy may be a huge game changer for this little guy. Either way, he will be very loved and he will still have tons of fun. The girl we are hoping to adopt is six years old and she has brain abnormalities (listed in her cart are: hydrocephalus, hydrocephalus-UP bypass, atelencephalia, arachnoidcyst of left side). She needs to get into a family fast so she can also be loved, seen by doctors and have daily therapy to help her reach her full potential. She will fit right in with our eight year old and our five year old. They are super excited.
Thank you for reading this and considering helping us. We know that this can only be done by the grace of God, the approval of China and our “village” here. Without one of these three, we cannot do this. It feels vulnerable, but at the same time exhilarating to get “out of the boat” and “walk on the water.” Scary and amazing
