LISA for the Bison family — NC
John and Heidi were married in 2001 and became proud parents of their daughter, Ariauna later in 2001 followed by their son, Jaeden in 2003. Heidi has a degree in psychology and has worked with the developmentally disabled population and John is a veteran with a degree in criminal justice. John currently works full time while allowing Heidi to stay home and homeschool their children. As a Christian couple, they attend and serve at a local church where Heidi just returned from a 15 day mission trip to Indonesia.
Heidi has always had a passion for the disabled, which prompted her search for a career in that field. The hands on work with these people only strengthened the love she felt. Growing their family through the miracle of adoption was something close to Heidi’s heart so when she felt the Lord was directing her to pursue that calling, she shared it with John. Through time and prayer, John felt the same nudge from God and as a couple, they knew they must be obedient to the Lord’s calling. John has a special love for folks, both young and old, who have a diagnosis of Downs Syndrome so it was without question that they would pursue a special needs adoption!
John and Heidi’s children could not be more excited to have a younger sister and are already advocating for her to be treated just like them. Their compassion and love will help their little sister to develop into all that God designed her for. She has no idea the impact she has already had on the Bison family and the Bison family has no idea the joy that this sweet little bundle will bring to their family.
The Bison family asks for your prayers as they venture through this journey. If you feel led to help financially, no amount is too small!
