Hailey (China)

Girl, Born July 7, 2006

From a missionary who visited with her in August 2010:  “  Hailey was found abandoned at the age of 8 months.  She is described as easy going and social, and is well loved by the orphanage staff.    She is energetic and likes to listen to music.”     

 

UPDATE June 2011:  

Hailey is doing great.  She speaks a lot but it is not all intelligible.  She is extremely social and likes to play with the other children and pat and comfort the babies – copying the adults in the nurturing.  Like Down's children she loves music and dance and movement. She is learning potty training but not quite there.  She is also learning to feed herself at the moment – good at lifting the spoon to her mouth, but not at loading it.  Hailey has a lovely, cheeky personality.  She loves the younger babies in her family group and will often be found gently patting them or comforting them.  She also likes to play with her room mate. She is very cute, expressive and beautiful.
