Brice #4-5

Brice 4-5 Aug 2013 (1)OAge: 5
Diagnosis: Duchenne muscular dystrophy

Brice has had genetic testing in 2010 that confirmed his diagnosis. Muscle hypertonia in the lower limbs has been observed recently. His gross and fine motor skills are developing. He walks, runs and goes up/down steps. He plays with toys appropriately, plays with other children and is sociable with children and adults. When he gets involved in an activity, he will play for long periods of time. However, if he is not interested or the task is too hard, he is easily distracted. He talks in 2-3 word sentences, asks and answers questions, follows verbal directions, responds to his name, knows the names of the other children and adults and can identify objects (clothes, body parts, etc) and how to properly greet people. He feeds himself. His development is considered to be delayed.

Additional photos and a video clip are available.

Because we only have this child’s file for a short time, he will not be able to receive donations until a family is found for him.
