CAIUS and HATTIE + 1 for the Robinson family — SC
Jode and Kelley met later in life, so when the discussion of marriage and starting a family began, Kelley was very sad that she could no longer give Jode children. However, Jode’s gentle reassurance surprised her when he said “I wasn’t born a Robinson, Kelley. I was adopted, and I know that one can love someone just as much as being born to them.” Kelley cried, of course. Having adopted two daughters as a single mother, she too knew that biology does not dictate ones heart. And so their adoption journey began.
Shortly after marrying in 2007, God blessed Jode and Kelley with a beautiful 1888 Folk Victorian home, and He placed in their hearts the desire to fill it up with a rainbow of children. Jode and Kelley soon became foster/adoptive parents and are now the proud parents of three beautiful babies! Kelley questioned whether they should continue to adopt. Surely three blessings were enough? But God had a different plan.
When Caius’ picture was posted, his adorable little face won their hearts. After discussing his diagnosis, doing some research and prayfully considering whether they could be the family he needed, they decided they just had to bring him home. Jode and Kelley also wanted very much to add another little girl to their family. Hattie’s precious little self continued to draw their hearts and prays so they decided she will be their little bitty princess.
They will have two brothers and one big sister, to encourage them, love them and help them grow into the man and woman God created them to be. They are all very excited about bringing Caius and Hattie home.
“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think” (Eph 3:20)
