Isabella

Girl, born December 2006
PRC
Down syndrome, CHD
Isabella lives with a foster family. Her best friend recently found a family, and we so hope Isabella finds a family soon, too!
She gets along well with her friends and foster brother and is quite good at sharing her toys as well as her food. Isabella does speak some words but needs more practice, and does not yet speak in full sentences. However, she understands everything “Grandma” says to her and can follow instructions. Isabella does everything she is asked to do and never makes trouble!
When Isabella finds things funny, she smiles and laughs with delight. Because there are no schools for children with Down Syndrome in her village, Isabella does not go to school. However, her Down Syndrome has not kept her from learning to become independent. She is able to eat , change clothes, and use the bathroom — all by herself! Isabella is also able to run and climb, and she especially likes to play with her toy truck.
