ELLIOT for the Ehlers family — SC

Elliot (2)After completing their education at the SEC-dominant, perennial powerhouse Bulldog nation known as the University of Georgia, the Ehlers embarked on their opening act in Oklahoma where their first two wonderful, beautiful kids were born (Kristen, then Adam). A few great years and a couple of jobs later, they landed in Greenville, SC – closer to their Georgia and Florida roots. In 2000, lovely, young Grace was born, and this little family settled in, thinking that their ranks were full. In 2008, mom felt a call, and she started praying about adoption, unbeknownst to dad. So one night shortly after her prayers commenced, dad (still oblivious to her little plans) called her in to listen to a Focus on the Family broadcast about adoption. Taken as a sure sign, this little family started its journey toward Ethiopia. A few months before their referral, God intervened and routed them to Ukraine for a Christmas union (the first court date was on Christmas day) with their newest family members – the elegant and joyful young Dariya and Anastasia. In the fall of 2012, they were hooked by a little fellow named Denis in a video. As tender folk themselves, they were very touched by his tearful farewell to his special friend in the orphanage, and now, they excitedly work toward bringing him home in this 25th year of their marriage.
