David #26-4

David 2013 (2)DOB: 2004
Diagnosis: cerebral palsy

David is a handsome 9 year old boy who has CP and mild developmental delays that likely are a result of being raised in an institutionalized environment. He is currently living in an institution for older children with physical disabilities. The children attend school at the institution, where David is in 3rd grade studying the general education curriculum. He talks, memorized poems and songs and performs during holiday programs. He currently wears glasses. He walks with the assistance of a walker, though he can walk short distances independently. He feeds himself and helps with personal care tasks as he is able. He is described as a social and friendly child who gets along well with the other children and staff.

Photos and videos from March 2013 are available. In the video, David is walking both independently and with a walker, talking, singing and interacting with staff.

Because we only have this child’s file for a short time, he will not be able to receive donations until a family is found for him.
