TIANA for the Ausbrooks family — IN
Josh and Kristi are high school sweethearts, and they can’t believe the journey God has taken them on since their teens! They haven’t moved far from home, in fact, they live on the family farm where Kristi was raised. But God has taken them on a journey of faith, requiring them to rely on Him as He leads their family. Currently they are blessed with three children, Samuel (8), Cora (6), and Eli (4). Eli came to the Ausbrooks from Ethiopia when he was only 7 months old. There is no question that God intended that little boy to live on the farm since he eats, sleeps, and breathes tractors. While Josh works hard each day as a defense contractor, Kristi teaches the kids at home.
Through other adoptive families the Ausbrooks were introduced to Reece’s Rainbow. Slowly but surely God put it on their hearts that one of these children was to be theirs. What a privilege! Prior to staying at home, Kristi was a preschool teacher for special needs children. One particular student with Down syndrome brought the most joy to the class. Witnessing the determination of this student, and her family, was so inspiring. Now it looks like the Ausbrooks will get to have an opportunity to experience this joy in their home. Miss Tiana has captured their hearts, and they are all anxious to welcome her to the family and the farm. Hopefully she will like tractor rides, holding baby turkeys, collecting eggs, and playing in the hayloft.
