TROY for the Harris family — WA
Jerry and Sandy have been married for 14 years. Jerry is a Sergeant with the police department and Sandy is a contractor working in a telecommunications company. Jerry has 2 grown children from a previous marriage. Even prior to marriage, they often talked about the importance of family. Both wanted children, but who knew at that time how big their family would become. They currently have 4 adopted children, Kaley (12) was adopted through a family adoption as an infant. About 2 years later, along came JP (11) adopted from Guatemala. They thought their family was complete at that point. When they joined a new church, they were befriended by a wonderful family who had a daughter with Down Syndrome. They talked about the possibility of having a Down Syndrome child for their family. In researching this possibility, Sandy came across Reece’s Rainbow. With all the beautiful children looking back at them, they both new right away that this was for them. Just this past year they adoption Kaden (10-Down Syndrome) and Meghan (9) through Reece’s Rainbow. They came home in April. Sandy would continue to keep an eye on the web site with no plans to adopt again then the face of a little 2 year old boy called to them. They made the decision to try to add him to their family, but by then he was matched to another family. But, then they new they were ready and they came across “Troy” and knew he was right for their family. He will fit in wonderfully as the little brother. They can’t wait to have him home and give him all of the love and experiences of family life.
