James and Christy met in the spring of 2007 and they married three years later. Combined they have 5 children. Their youngest 3 children are teenagers and reside at home. James works for a local hospital in Behavioral Health and with children who have special needs. Christy works for a large telecommunications company in Information Technology as a Service Management Specialist. James and Christy are looking to expand their family and are pursuing an international adoption. They have a 1.5 year old son on hold in an Eastern European country and are very excited to meet him!
Christy started researching adoption in the spring of 2012. She feels strongly that God has led her and James to adopt a child with special needs. She found the Reece’s Rainbow website and was shocked by the sheer volume of children that need to be adopted. She continued to research adoption and talked to James about it at great length. After looking at many profiles for children she found their son. Once she saw his picture she knew he was theirs without much hesitation at all. Within hours they committed to him. Everyone in the family has watched the videos of him and are anxious to bring him home.
