Andy and Coral have been married for three years, and are excited to start a family through adoption!
Some friends of Andy and Coral’s have been fostering a little boy named JB for the past three years in Asia. When JB first came to their friends, he was 5 months old, weighed only 7 pounds and was not expected to live very long. However, under the care of their friends, his condition has improved and he celebrated his 3rd birthday in March 2012. JB has been through a lot in his short little life and has a few special needs. As an infant he had glaucoma and cataracts (for which he had surgery at 8 months old) and now wears glasses. He also has some developmental delays — at 3 years old he is still not speaking or walking, although he recently learned how to army crawl. He is also incredibly cute and has the sweetest laugh!
Although JB is deeply loved in foster care, he is not able to get the medical care, special education services, and permanent home situation that he needs to thrive. After much prayer and discussion, Andy and Coral determined that JB would be a great fit for their family. With Coral’s extensive experience working with children with special needs, and Andy’s background living in China, JB will be a great addition to their family. JB is a child who needs a forever family and Andy and Coral feel that they have the love, home, resources, and desire to be that for him.
Now Andy and Coral want to bring JB home. Several people have asked how to help. First, you can pray! Pray that the adoption continues to go smoothly and quickly.
