Pearl is a beautiful 10 year old girl who has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy that impacts her legs. Her mobility has improved with practice and she is able to walk 5-10 meters on her own, further with support. She can pick up a bean with chopsticks and use a spoon to feed herself, dress herself and tie her own shoes, wash her hands and face, take a bath, help other children, and help the caretaker clean the table. She loves artistic activities like drawing, painting, and handcrafts. Pearl has not been able to go to school due to her condition, so she will need to catch up academically. Still, she is hardworking. She can count from 1 to 10; can count from 1 to 100 under hints; can finish addition and subtraction within 10; can recognize some common colors like red, yellow, black, purple, blue, etc. Pearl can express herself in sentences of 8-10 words. Her caregivers describe her as gentle, emotional and loving.
