LANCE and DRAKE for the Schmitt family — CO
Todd and Melissa met at a wedding in Colorado about 11 years ago. Melissa left for Romania a week later to volunteer at a hospital for abandoned babies and Todd returned to his home in North Dakota. While Melissa was loving up on beautiful, precious babies Todd was calling her dad to ask if he could begin courting her. The courtship began a few months later and within a year of meeting one another they were married! They have now been married for almost 10 years and have been blessed with 3 biological children. Adoption, especially that of special needs children, has always been something they have considered and prayed about. Upon receiving Lance’s file they both knew that this child was special to them. After not sleeping and having constant butterflies they decided to pursue bringing him into their family forever! They know that the adoption process can be long and bumpy, but they are willing to work hard and fight for this precious little life. They are prayerfully asking God to allow them to receive this one into their family to love and cherish as he so much deserves.
